4th person-Ah Siong

A 34year old subcontractor from Sungai Petani who has been in Phuket for 4months. He came over as his company, based in KL usually posts him to various countries in SEA to do the projects. He specializes in M&E (wiring, plumbing, fire alarm etc.) Truly a hardworking man.

Mom & I were spending the morning on a Wed morning with Elle in her home when Joseph came with Ah Siong. Joseph wanted dad to hear him out & pray with him.. But dad was meeting up with Dr. Roy, a Scottish geologist with a PhD & Som Chai, another passionate Thai Christian to discuss the development of a Men's Fellowship (FGBMF: Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship) in Phuket. So mom started to hear & share with Ah Siong in Mandarin. Later dad & mom met with him over dinner with Joseph, Elle, Noina & her mom, again to share with him more bout God.

Eventhough he is not a Christian, he believes there is a God in the heavens who actually hears his prayers. 2 incidence testify to this matter.
On a Sunday, Joseph invited 3people to attend a Sunday Service in Hope of God Phuket (Bypass). Honestly Joseph forgot to pick him up as he was the least likely to go in Joseph's mind. Fortunately he made it to the 2nd half of the service. He was in such a desperate financial state that he prayed to the God of heaven to redeem him.

On the next day, a cheque arrived from his boss! Most likely a delayed pay. But he realized he couldn't do all the work alone, and he prayed again... this time for workers.

On Wednesday, 2 workers came! He truly thanked God & admitted that he would be nothing if not for God.

In the past 10 years, he had been thru a lot. From nothing he build himself to a successful man with a family living a comfortable life in a house with 2cars. But greed (as he confessed) got in the way. He lost everything he had... He came to a point where he felt completely lost & hopeless. He went to the seaside to cry out to God... A gentle breeze blew & he knew it was God hearing him.

We prayed with him as he wanted peace despite the circumstances...
