Last 2 days in Phuket

Tues

Wanted to visit a church friend. Had been trying to get in touch via her mobile but can't reach her. Heard some news of her which were not so encouraging and my parents wanted to see how she was coping. So we drove to her (where we know of the former) office... and saw that the lot was up for rent. The inside was half stripped of its furnishings and we wonder if she moved to elsewhere against what we heard. We called the number available on the notice, enquired about her hp number and tried again to no avail. O Lord be with her always.

Mom went to visit a fellow Malaysian with Auy in the afternoon. They got to know this lady, Mdm Cheng through the american, Jack we visited last week. Knida brave of them to just walk to the lady's goldsmith shop to see her. But, that's know to get to know more people and let the gospel be known. Though Mdm Cheng wasn't in at that time, she purposely rushed back from a meeting when mom called her from the shop. During the short 1 hour talk, mom came to know her past which was really tough. Of course, mom shared with her about Jesus, the very reason for the talk. Without giving a direct answer, Mdm Cheng asked for mom to visit her again. Seed planted.

Then dad and I joined mom and Auy to celebrate a man's birthday in Karon beach. The man, St. John (the name st was given by the mum) is married to Preeda, a church member of Auy. They have a beautiful 2 year old daughter Kimberley. Mom and I have met them before last year. In fact mom actually was at the hospital to see Kimberley. Now, dad came along to get to know st. John more as Auy told us he needed more encouragement from men and have few Christian friends. His mom just passed away last month (thankfully as she had Alzheirmer's and was bed-ridden for so long in quite a poor state as I saw her) and he can't find a buyer for the condo unit his mom was staying in. A good surprise indeed. Bridge in construction:)
Half way thru, Mr. Tan, our family friend who hosted us on the boat called. Come to Ko Sirei! Of we hurried...

We had a quiet dinner of good Thai food with Mr. and Mrs Tan by the beach at night. Of course, messages about God was slipped in here and there.. Mom gave a book about prominent Thais who chose to follow Jesus. She received it happily and promised to read it. Pray for God to move her heart.

Wed

Leaving to Malaysia by flight AK 873, 1330 hours.

Last minute met up with Noina and Elle (& Joseph), mom's 2 'daughters' in Phuket...my 2 'sisters'. Noina gave 2 beautiful gifts..really touched.
Went to pray together with Jospeh & Elle as dad wanted to bid a farewell and give some last minute advices. Also to pray that they might be with child. Hope to hear good news when they come to Malaysia during CNY:)

Left to Malaysia, mentally exhausted and with a stomach upset.. but charged and with a wider perspective on how to do evangelism and build others in their faith.
