Introducing Pastor Yai & wife from Bangkok. Both in their 40s, & still call one another 'darling' & hold hands while walking:)

They were with the Hope of God Church in Bangkok until they came to work (both with the same company) in Laguna Resort, Phuket. They continued to share the Word of God even at the workplace. Soon, 2locals working as maids there accepted Jesus as Lord & Saviour. And so they started a church with 4 people, a humble beginning indeed. That was 6years ago.

Today, the church, Cherndalay Church has 2 services on Sunday with 200persons per sitting. A member gave the church a piece of land nearby to build a new sanctuary with a 500 sitting capacity. The new building would be ready by Dec'07. What amazes me (again) is how that member willingly gave his land. He bought it at RM150k to build his own house but decide to give after he found a better location. It is worth RM300k today.

Incredible to hear how the church grew! From 4 people in 1998. They then had enough people to meet in the living room of pastor Yai. Later the room was to small & they had to build the (current) sanctuary in his house compound. Now... moving to a bigger place!

Yai is still working in Laguna Mon to Thurs & Sat. His wife has stopped & is the main administrator of the church . He preaches in Thai every Sun while his wife would do the Eng translation for the 30 or so 'farang'. Both are fluent in English & really work together with a passion for God. They have 4 full-time workers & 1 who's running the Church bookstore in town.

I will write more about the growth of other churches in Phuket. God is moving! Keep praying because it is the key to success in God's kingdom.
Alright, have to sleep&rise early to join mountain prayer at 6am in Kao Rang tmr. Its been revived recently after a long halt.
